1. Sachin is no doubt great, but,he is already over the hill. Or even taken a few steps down. But, Dhoni is on the ascendancy.2. Yuvraj is already an experienced campaigner in this area. He cannot be hotter than Dhoni, who is still a novice and just had a debut or two.3. Ganguly is no doubt the better and in fact, by far, the best captain.4. Sehwag always deserves a chance provided the captain has confidence in him. 5. Very difficult to say. All of them look villains. To my knowledge, Bruce Yardley, the erstwhile spinner was a gentleman. And Kim Hughes too was well mannered and he too deserves praise. He could not fall in line with the rowdy type Australian cricket and hence, failed as a captain. I like him.6. There are many. Majid Khan, Zaheer Abbas, Asif Iqbal, Wasim Raza. But, the cake goes to Wasim Akram, who is no doubt a gentleman, but also won the hearts of so many Indians.7. Kapil Dev, no doubt. But, in his intoxication with captaincy, he underutilised himself and ended up as an also-ran fast bowler of the world class. 8. Not one, but two. Sunil Gavaskar and Chetan Chouhan. If only they were to be around now, we would not have lost the first Melbourne Test.9. My favourite Indian player is Eknath Solkar. He was not only the best fielder, but also a crisis batsman all through his playing days.10. Yes, it could be. But, there are too many old war horses around. If only they paved the way for the new entrants, our Team India could have an opportunity to build a team for the future very fast. Now that they are hanging around, the young guys miss their place in the team. By the time they retire, some of the well-talented might vanish due to despair. This is no good sign for Indian Cricket.
