whenever I try to use my mouse, it makes a sound but the mouse doesn't work on the computer. It worked before today.I even thought it may have been the mouse so i tried another, but even that one didn't work. Is there any trick to fixing this problem?

re-install ur usb driversby default they cum with win vistabut they must hav gt spoiledgo to ur motherboard site or microsoft site n download d appropriate drivers for ur usb

Try the following:1. Check your USB port if its really working fine. If not switch to another USB port.2. See if you have properly plugged your mouse in your USB port.3. Try to log-off or restart your computer4. Try to use another mouse, if the current one is not working...5. If you have tried all... then finally .. use your fingers by your laptop pointing device.
