Ahmad, Jamiluddin (1914-70)
Political Writer. Jamiluddin Ahmad passed his MA in English from Aligarh Muslim University in 1936. He was a member of the All India Muslim Students Federation and the * All-India Muslim League. He was personally close to the founders of Pakistan, and in 1942 and 1960 published two volumes of the 'Speeches and Writings of M.A. Jinnah'. After partition, he joined Emerson College, Multan as lecturer, but soon became Public Relations Officer to Liaquat Ali *Khan, the then prime minister of Pakistan. From 1968 to 1970, he served as the co-editor of 'Contemporary Affairs'.
