Bhutto, Murtaza, Mir (1954-96)
Politician. The elder son of Z.A. *Bhutto, Mir Murtaza lived in exile after his father's execution. Accused of running the terrorist Al-Zulfikar organization, he became an opposition leader during the term of his sister, Benazir *Bhutto, and founded his own faction of the *Pakistan Peoples Party. He was killed in a police encounter on 20 September 1996.
